In ten years I’d like to still be helping to diagnose and cure diseases by studying genetics. However, because my field of research changes so quickly, I’m sure we’ll have much better, faster (and cheaper!) ways of studying people’s genetics by then. I also hope that in 10 years time more people will have access to genetic testing and that it will be more common for your doctor to send you for a genetic test to better understand your health.

In 10 years Id like to still be working in research, hopefully as a post-doc (Fingers crossed I get my PhD) , on what topic, I dont know, I really love small RNA work and I love diagnostics but I also have dreams of maybe going into more of a biochemistry field or work in human biology etc, I also would love to be some kind of consultant in hospitals helping with diagnosis of rare fungal infections etc. To be honest, Im not sure where I will be, I just know I will be in Science !
